By 2025, analysts predict that 25 billion devices will be connected to the Internet, also known as the Internet of Things (IoT), where most of the value creation will come from services on top of connectivity.
Datek has developed and delivered IoT services for many years and is now teaming up with Telia to deliver smart home services to Telia customers.
Datek – flexible IoT platform for smart home
Datek’s IoT platform for smart home has been developed over many years and is ready to be delivered to Telia broadband customers. The platform server infrastructure integrates with the home through a Datek gateway and will make it possible for Telia to offer a multitude of services to their customers, e.g. home appliances, equipment and door locks. Services can communicate with each other, be automated and are easy to control them remotely through an app.
Tom Scharning, CEO Datek AS, says:
“We are proud that Telia has chosen Datek as a strategic technology partner for smart home services. Datek technology is developed in Scandinavia and is independent of the global tech giants. We believe this will give Telia’s customers an excellent service at an affordable price.”
“We’re happy to team up with Datek as a strategic partner to make the smart home even smarter. This will allow us to bring new and exiting services to our customers in the Nordics,” says Marcus Lidbeck, Head of Digital Markets, Telia Division X.
